Ms. Cynthia Maria Edwards , 56 , of  Gilmer, passed away Monday, October 02, 2017 in Long Beach, Saint Mary Medical Center.  Ms. Cynthia Maria Edwards  was born July 17, 1961 in Gilmer, Texas to the parentage of Mrs. Corenia L. Borens-Reed and Mr. Ezell Edwards. Ms. Edwards accepted Christ at an early age where she joined East Springfield Missionary Baptist Church and attended until moving away, she also attended Bruce Middle School and Gilmer High School (Class of 1979). She went on to move to California over 31 years ago and took on the career of a Longshoreman on the ship yard off the Long Beach coast, in her life time she lived in Gilmer, Tx, Dallas, Tx, and Long Beach, Ca until just the other day when God called her back to himself. "Sandy" had a few things people didn't know about her like singing in the choir, being a jazz dancer, and a straight up comedian and fashion guru, while she rest on the Borens/Edwards Family will remember you for ever.
