Dorothy LaRuth Webb was born January 8, 1934 in Gilmer, Texas,  to the late Bill Webb and Bell Sprat Webb.  LaRuth attended  and graduated from Bruce High School of Gilmer, Texas where she.  After finishing school she married Willie L. Brown of Gilmer, Texas.   To this union,  three children were born: Evelyn, Linda and Peggy.  After moving to Dallas, Texas she met and married,  Pink Thompson to this union,  4 children were born:  Sharon, Michael, Tony and Vickie. While living in Gilmer, LaRuth was an active member of Lake Providence B.C. where she was the musician for the Crayton Sister.  While in Dallas, she was employed at Skillman Pharmacy,  as a clerk. She later became a long term employee of Doctor Nursing Center, as a nurse.  She  later retired and became an entrepreneur of Good Tyme Liquor. Her health forced her to retire.

LaRuth was a member of Fellows Lane for many years under the direction of the late Dewayne Thompson.  She later began serving as a faithful member of Calvary Philadelphia B.C under the direction of Moderator Joe Moore Jr., after her health caused her to move her membership.

LaRuth loved her family and her doors were always open to any family member that needed a place to reside.

LaRuth parents and other siblings preceded her in death.  Sisters: Ludie Alexander, Althada Shaw, Tommy Wells, Lela Collier Ester, Johnnie, Irene, Brother: Nathaniel, Ben and Elvin; Husband: Pink Thompson; Daughter: Evelyn; Grand Daughters: Netra, and Meshia;  one son –in- law,  Clarence Wiley.

LaRuth leaves to cherish her memories, children: Linda Buchanan, of Longview, Texas,  Peggy Brown, Sharon Brown, Michael Brown, Vickie Thompson (Vincent) all of Dallas, Texas,  Tommy E Brown of Houston, Texas, grand Children: Clarence Wiley, Derrick Willey, of Dallas,Texas,  Nekisha Scott of Longview, Texas,  Laquetta Buchanan of Dallas, Texas,  Odell Buchanan Jr. (Ashley) and Shinetra Buchanan of Gilmer, Texas,  Abreshia and Markeith Brown of Dallas,Texas,  April Brown,  Jason Brown of Dallas, Texas,  Nakoa Brown of Dallas, Texas; 23 great grand children; 5 great great  grandchildren; special nieces,  Mae Brown, Annie Brinkley (Paul), Rose Darden, Millison Conley (Robert), God Child Everett Lee and a host of family and friends. .....
